Other Spring Cards

Thought you might enjoy seeing other cards I have been making. I get inspired when I look at cards on the Stampin' Connection and other demonstrators' sites. Thanks everyone for sharing! You are all so creative. The top card is made from Summer Smooch, a new DSP coming soon from Stampin' Up. Isn't it pretty?

Celebrating Spring With a Card

I am so happy that Spring is almost here. I have been enjoying the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set and the Blossom Punch so much. What a fun stamp set! When I saw The Paper Players Challenge this week, I decided to use my new favorite stamp set to make the card. I have made several variations, but the one for the challenge is made from Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red card stock with Brights buttons and layered blossoms. Hope you like it as much as I do!

New Card Challenges: Joy

This week, I made a card in response to two card challenges. The Paper Players challenge is to make a card with Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke and River Rock. I had not used Riding Hood Red in a while, but I really do like anything red. Freshly Made Sketches had a layout challenge, where stampers are to make a card with the given layout. Those are fun for me because they give me ideas of how to design my cards differently.

Here is what I used to make the card:

Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set
Always Artichoke Card Stock, 8 1/2" X 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4"
Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, 2" X 3 3/4" (two pieces)
River Rock Card Stock, 4" X 5 1/4"
Very Vanilla Card Stock 2 1/4" X 3 3/4"
Always Artichoke Classic Ink
Ridinghood Red Classic Ink
Red jewels
Sizzix Hero Arts Framelets Stamp & Die cut set
Snowburst Embossing Folder

This Week's Challenge

This week at the Paper Players, the challenge is a recipe. Stampers are to combine the "ingredients" to make a card. I had a hard time choosing which stamp set to use, but decided on Elements of Style because it is so classic. Since it is fall, I decided on fall colors, including Soft Suede, River Rock, Cajun Craze and Well Worn Designer Series Paper. I used champagne gold glitter on the Scallop Oval to outline the Large Oval for sentiment, and the Lace Ribbon Border punch to tie the colors together. For the ribbon, I used vanilla satin ribbon and hemp twine.

Paper Players Fall Challenge #70

I love playing along with the card challenges, and this one was perfect for me because I really love the fall colors. I decided to use More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Soft Suede card stock with a flower embossing folder and gold embossing powder.

Happy Christmas to All Card

Here is a card I made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #8. I really love to make Christmas cards, and this week's layout really had me perusing the Christmas stamp sets. I decided to use the Lovely as a Tree and the Wandering Words stamp sets to make the "scene" and the Just Believe set for the sentiment.
